Capital City Tennis Club AGM - Rescheduled to Tuesday April 30 @ 7:00PM
Our Annual General Meeting has been re-scheduled for Tuesday, April 30 @ 7PM
Please sign up - we need a minimum of 20 members to participate to conduct the meeting.
We are looking for additional volunteers to join the Board. In particular, we would like to have individuals who are interested in marketing, promotion and events for the club. In addition to our weekly events, we run an annual doubles tournament, a lively singles player ladder and participate in outreach to the tennis community in Victoria.
This is a wonderful way to serve the tennis community - we are a small but lively group who enjoy great snacks while debating the business of the club. New ideas and input is always welcome! And we meet as few times as possible to get the job done……
If you are interested or have questions, please contact us via email at:
capitalcitytennisclub@gmail.com

Summer Singles Ladder May Rounds (May 1st to October 31st 2024)
The CCTC singles ladder welcomes players of any gender or skill level. Although it is competitive in the sense that winning players move up and losing players move down, the primary goal is to have fun and everyone is expected to behave in a friendly way. It is a great way to get some exercise, compete against different game styles, and meet new players!
The ladder is open to any CCTC members. CCTC membership is free and there is no commitment to participate in any other CCTC events. The cost to join the ladder is $15 for each six-month session. By registering, you agree to share your contact information with other players in the ladder, but it will not be posted publicly.
The winter ladder will start on May 1st, 2024. The Oct 31st, 2024 date on the listing is the last date for the cycle which the web site software displays because it expects events to start and end on the same day. That is the last date for the session but the ladder actually runs for six months.
How it works
Register here and pay online. The fee is $15 for one complete session (May to October for the summer ladder or November to April for the winter ladder).
At the link below, select "Join" in the upper right corner:
The ladder can be accessed through your web browser or using the itennisladder app.
You can challenge any player up to 3 spots above or below you. Arrange matches based on your own schedule and at a location of your convenience. Each player also has the opportunity to challenge players at any ranking up to 3 times.
Please be flexible when issuing a challenge so that players do not decline because they are not available at a specific time. You can use the contact information on the membership list on the CCTC website to reach out to players before issuing a formal challenge.
We hope that players will attempt to play 2 or 3 matches each month.
You should agree on who will supply the balls. The usual arrangement is that both players bring a set of three new balls, and the winner keeps the unused set.
After a match you enter the scores into the system, and how much you move up will depend on whether you won or lost (but not the score). Please track your score as best you can as the system requires you to enter set or tiebreak scores and does not allow for corrections later.
We will continue to add new players as they register, and we can adjust your ranking if you find you have been placed too high or too low.
Best of three sets is recommended; however, if time is limited, players may agree on any other way to determine a winner.
You are able to drop out (due to injury, vacation, or for any other reason) by setting your status to "unavailable" in itennisladder. You can rejoin later in the session with the same number of points without having to register and pay again.
NOTE: The CCTC is, above all, a friendly tennis club. If personal differences flare up on court, we strongly urge the parties involved to meet privately and resolve these differences as soon as possible. Event Organizers will not, under any circumstances, cater to "don't put me with X" requests..
The CCTC also requests that all participants please refrain from wearing scented products on court.
